Flash CS4 changed the way that motion tweens are handled. In CS3, tweens were very timeline-oriented, but CS4 has made them more object-oriented. This tutorial is a great overview of both the old and new ways of creating Motion Tweens using Flash.

Thank you so much for posting this. To all of you out there still wondering if you should purchase the CS4 tutorials on offer at the moment – don’t wait a minute longer – they are fantastic.

    Hi Craig,
As you might tell from my question I am new to Flash. I know how to put images into a libray and then convert them to symbols to animate them, also to add text. But my question is:
Should I put all of my images (nicely spaced out) into the first layer of the Time Line or should the images be in separate layers for each image, text or sound?
Have you got a Tutorial about this which can explain when to insert images into keyframes of the same layer or many layers?
    Many thanks
