    Hi Craig:

More AS 3.0 tutorials from beginner to intermediate would be my suggestion.

Craig, I build flash advertisements for a local newspaper using AS3 on a daily basis. I have had to piece together code from sources all over the web for the last 3 years in order to make the ads move the way I want. The rest of my staff still uses AS2 with timelines. I would love to see a tutorial series on how to make panels move, fade in and out, make text come in out move out and effects of this nature in AS3 so that I can help my staff move forward with AS3 instead of 2. I want to go strictly code to make my ads smaller and fore-go the timeline all together.

    Can you help?

    Thanks,

    Scott

I would like to see more OOP techniques, preferably using Flashbuilder or Flex 3
there is a lack of tuts on pure AS3 projects for Flex or at least do tuts in Flash without timeline code

    Hello Craig,

I`m building my site, and I`ve been looking for some help on how to link Flash with a dataBase on AS3, for example, how to retrieve costumers information, upload files from my costumers, etc…

    Thank you!!

Hey Craig, I have been learning from you for quite a few years now. What I would like to see is more advanced training video’s. I would like to see training on accessing databases with actionscript for example. Things like connecting to a database, adding records, deleting, updating etc…

Hi Craig, I have very little experience with Flash however I am assuming that it is possible to import live video into flash and layer animation graphics over top. I was wondering if you could direct me to a good tutorial on how to do this. The finished effect I am looking for is like the tete a claque videos or annoying orange videos you see on youtube. Any info would be helpful, I have flash cs4 and have extensive knowledge of photoshop but haven’t done much with flash yet.

    thanks!

Hi Craig how’s it going man? So I finally put a face to the voice. I stumble upon your flash series and purchased it. It has taught me a lot so thanks for putting it out. I received a lot of old flash 3 stuff too bundles together with it. I was wondering like I see another person above requested and you teach some Flash Builder also? I like Flash but I want to wrap my head around adobe Flash builder which is AS3. If you can put together a comprehensive learning series of Flex or Flash Builder I would purchase it in a heart beat. Think about it. Thanks

    Craig,

Typed a whole comment and got the captcha image wrong. Everything deleted! Bummer.

    So, once again…

I would love to see more tutorials on the bone tool and 3D animation.

I Need a tutorial on inserting alternative content into websites with Flash banners when the viewer has Flash and Javascript turned off. The fools! But then, I guess those poor people stuck with iPads and iPhones don’t have much choice. There’s plenty of info out there about this, but so far it’s all poorly written, confusing, or doesn’t work. I know if you did it I wouldn’t sit there saying, “What the bleep are you talking about?”

I’ve also been looking for a “Campbell” way to create interactivity in an animation. Not only do I want some action going on in the animation that changes elements, but I want the viewer to be able to click and change those same elements and then have a character in the animation respond to that change and change it back. It’s probably not as confusing as I’ve made it sound.

I learn something from every one of your tutorials even if it’s not specifically what I’ve been looking for, so keep on producing them. You’ve been my “go to” teacher for years. I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve taught me.

I also work in Dreamweaver, Photoshop (graphics, illustrations, matte paintings), Illustrator (graphics, illustrations) Soundbooth, and InDesign (book comp and epub). Tutorials in any of those would be great.

    Thanks for everything,
    Sheryl
